Please Watch (Another Mike Benz Masterclass)
But there is one point especially that Americans need to understand
I shared a clip from Mike Benz’s latest interview with Winston Marshall in the Shitshow Macro weekly wrapup podcast on Friday and said that I’d be going through the entire interview to see if there were any pertinent takeaways to share.
And boy howdy did Mike deliver, yet again.
The entire thing is, as normal, a complete master class a la Benz, and many of the things that he shares align quite well with, strangely enough, Masks Off, part 3 as well as part 2.
I don’t know Mike, have never communicated with him, and certainly didn’t plan it that way. As they say, “Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come…”
There is one especially important part that I wanted to share now because it’s a crucial thing to understand for American taxpayers who are constantly grifted and gaslit into paying for things that they will receive no benefit from, to the tune of trillions of dollars.
The clip above is set to begin at 1:05:51 in the interview. I suggest that everyone watch the entire interview, but I just had to break this section out and focus on it, specifically, due to the timeliness of it all.
Benz brings up Senator Lindsay Graham sitting in session in the Senate and offering a rare and honest comment about US involvement in the Ukraine war.
“Look, we’ve been saying democracy for the past 2 years. Whether or not you care about democracy in Ukraine, there’s $12.4 trillion in resources in the ground there that we need.”
It’s not the rare moment of honesty and pulling back the veil of bullshit from a US politician that is the important point.
It’s that, despite that “honesty” there are still mountains of bullshit behind the comment, as Benz explains.
You see, here’s the thing…
People like Lady G (Lindsay Graham) will pretend that if US taxpayers spend hundreds of billions or trillions of untracked dollars and maybe even American lives (blood and treasure) in Ukraine, we will eventually reap the rewards.
The problem is that we’ve done that many times in the past, and not reaped the rewards.
Politicians certainly reap the rewards via bribes, “campaign donations,” board seats, non-profits, and “foundations” that suddenly get tons of corporate donations, jobs for their kids, etc etc etc.
They reap those rewards by allowing US taxpayer dollars to be spent to secure resources for multinational companies that have offshored US manufacturing overseas, have no allegiance to the US or her people, and neither make anything nor primarily hire in the US anymore.
Most of them have armies of financial CPA ninjas to ensure they pay as little in US taxes as possible as well. This is one of the reasons Trump was so effective at getting trillions of dollars “reshored” in America by changing corporate tax laws.
If you ever want to understand just how big of an issue this is, look up how many large multinational medical device companies suddenly moved their HQ to Ireland in the past decade, and why they did it.
Besides those companies not actually spending the money gained based on US taxpayer dollars being used to protect or gain access to resources for them…there’s not a great history of the US even successfully gaining said resources after our blood and treasure has been spent.
How much oil is the US enjoying from Iraq right now?
Oh yeah, the oil contracts went to China after thousands of American lives and trillions in American taxpayer dollars had been spent.
How much are we profiting off of rare earth, other minerals, and oil from Afghanistan after 20 years and many American lives there?
Oh yeah, China partnered with the Taliban and the terrorist group is pulling in millions per month from it.
How about uranium and other mineral mining after all of our efforts in North Africa?
Oh yeah, that’s all going to China, Russia, and Iran right now.
Please watch. And stop putting the dumbest and least honest among us into office.
